Nobody really likes a rainy wedding day. I mean seriously, I’ve seen winter, autumn and summer themed weddings but never ever a rainy wedding theme. It’s something brides pray for not to happen, even Alanis Morrisette thinks it’s an irony (did I get the song playing in your head?.) Photographers and wedding filmmakers surely hate rainy weddings. Our gears are not really that much water resistant. It just so happened that Bogs and Gail’s wedding was scheduled one rainy Tuesday afternoon. Well, I wish I can say that I didn’t mind the “blessings” from above but I was all geared up to fly my DJI Phantom quad-copter for the first time in Tagaytay. Short story, the maiden flight didn’t happen.

Despite the heavy shower, we genuinely had a great time during Bogs and Gail’s wedding. I admit I was a bit frustrated during the preps being unable to use the beautiful Hillcreek Garden’s venue to it’s full potential. Then I saw our bride Gail’s (and Bogs’ too) I-don’t-care-if-it’s-raining attitude made me realize how unbelievably composed they were. If they don’t mind the rain then I shouldn’t allow it to mess up my game plan. It actually motivated me to push my team a bit further. For the sake of the still-drunk-from-last-night-happy couple, we pushed our limits even more. So I got my green suede shoes wet, our prime lenses moist and three of my shooters sick but I got one heck of a rainy wedding video!
