my wife and i had a chance to catch a movie on valentine’s day and believe it or not it was our very first valentine’s date. the fifteen-minute-turned-hour-long drive to the mall reminded us instantly why we rather stayed home in the past. the worst traffic though, has no chance of stopping us from watching another rachel mcadams box office flick (we watched “the notebook” on our very first date.) except perhaps for the boyish charm both our groom raymond and channing tatum possesses, there’s no relevant connection this movie/v-day experience has with this next wedding video. it just so happens though that our couple, raymond and kristine, had one beautiful exchange of vows of their own. =)

after five years in the wedding filmmaking industry, we finally had the chance to document a wedding in cebu. it was actually our first time in one of our country’s most beautiful cities, and i’m glad we had enough time to roam around! =)

like we always do, we spent a lot of time eating/finding the best places to eat…from the infamous larsian to the finest lechon restaurant cnt.

the legendary sinulog festival was just around the corner but it was a wild coincidence that gen was sporting a fiesta-ready nail polish during the wedding day. =)

there was a little time pressure creating this video being it needed to be available during dinner time…but i had tougher times. =) shout out to the bride’s cousin, anika, for introducing our work to the couple.

the banderitas are set. there was this cebu idol singing contest goin on, the “i love cebu t-shirts” were selling like pancakes (come to think of it, i missed getting myself one…dang!), and the sto. nino festival is ready to roll. unfortunately for us, our schedule won’t allow us to stay. no worries, some ten years from now, i see myself dancing and rockin’ under the rain with the rest of the cebuanos.

a little over three p.m., the groom is yet to arrive at the church. soon after, he went straight to their wedding officiant to apologize for being late. coming some forty minutes away, michelle, i am assuming is not worried that he won’t show up. after all, keeping her waiting and giving her a little scare may have been part of luisito’s one too many crazy ideas all along.

some footnotes: the bride dressed up at the gorgeous family-owned farm. it was my first time working with chuck and the rest of cherryblocks. it was also my first time riding a helicopter. i found a boyfriend for my pet shih tzu. lastly, the groom and his totally funkalicious dance moves single-handedly burned the freakin’ dance floor! =)

along mayon volcano’s 6-km permanent danger zone, we witnessed one of the most beautiful exchange of vows. it was a fairytale of a different kind where the princess waited almost a little bit too long before prince charming came along. this film shows you what happened when the waiting ended. =)

in the middle of the unusual rainy december, mon and marga’s civil wedding to be held at acuatico’s pool area was in a little bit of trouble the night before. fortunately, an hour before the ceremony, the scary dark clouds passed and the sun came out. the ceremony lasted for just fifteen minutes but it was a beautiful wedding nonetheless. happy new year! =)

being the daughter of the legendary hotdog’s (you know—bongga ka day, manila, pers lab, beh, buti nga) frontman, you expect a free concert during the dinner reception. and like every time they had the stage, the band just freakin’ blew the roof off! the set actually started during the first dance when the bride’s dad sang ikaw ang miss universe ng buhay ko, while the newlyweds waltzed.

that david guetta song is the hottest and most requested song right now. this happened to be the first of the hundred sde’s i’d be working with using this music. no copyright infringement intended! =)

as we catch our breath from all the crazy shopping panic and the monstrous holiday traffic, i present another fun-filled wedding video to relax ourselves. notice how marris and abby’s funky soundtrack mixed with their happy-go-lucky personalities turns into an emotional but not overly dramatic sde. sweet!

bowties, vinyl records, old school suitcases…you blink, you miss a detail. veejay and tyke’s wedding is no one else’s but the bride’s brainchild. sweet!
