august 29, 2009 – fernbrook gardens

fact: siberian huskies rarely bark. instead, they howl like a wolf.

emoy and shirley had entered the reception venue with a golden retriever and a siberian husky. i’m pretty sure their other six doggies were bummed out when they heard that they weren’t invited. =) yep…that many! and yes, i did wonder how much money they spent every month for pet maintenance. =)

i am not sure if it was ever done before but i had my camera on glidecam for entire time i was shooting this video…just for the hell of it. and man did i get some sore muscles afterwards!

august 9, 2009 – glass garden

choreographed first dance makes great videos! it’s also a great way to entertain the crowd. open your reception with your dance moves and you are guaranteed to bring the house down. during warlie and jihan’s number, a little twist was added…groomsmen and bridesmaids! i loved the idea and it was pretty cool watching their entourage doing their thing in the dance floor.

august 8, 2008 – the manila cathedral

i think some people were bummed out by the priest at the cathedral who did a “sermon” about people talking over their phones/ talking to each other while the mass was ongoing. perhaps it’s not something tj or joy wish to remember their wedding day…but i’ll write it anyway. =)

i look at it as a reminder that not everything will go as planned or as smooth as it should be no matter how hard couples (this includes me) plan their big day. shit will happen, simple as that. the question is how are you gonna handle it?

tj and joy didn’t hire a professional coordinator. still, everything went a lot better than some weddings i’ve seen with one. at the end of that day the couple were all smiles and i know they enjoyed every second of it. =)

rainy thursday wedding. early call time. stunning gown. charming bride. great vows. an intimate dinner reception. cool sde.

for mrs. aquino:

i was there, i was four, during the first edsa revolution. i remember sitting on my father’s shoulders during what i must have believed back then was some kind of concert. fast forward to the year twenty-o-nine, a day after philippines mother of democracy was laid to rest, the ribbon tied at the gate of santuario de san antonio to remember her by was being blown by the whistling wind. it finally sunk in and today, exactly a month late, i bid her farewell. =)
