i don’t really wanna count how many days are left. what i look forward the best, (after, of course, marrying my best buddy) is the fact that expenses are finally gonna stop! hopefully…

the printing of our “save the date” card is currently on-going. the artwork is courtesy of non other than the master painter herself, abba “wow sabaw” mendoza. the woman breathe art people and she literally handpainted this thing. un-freakin’-believable if you ask me. she has actually set-up her own studio (great news!) now and is offering very affordable rates (read: an offer you can’t refuse!) and she promises that no two cards are the same! if you like this, wait ’til you see our kick-ass wedding invites. five thumbs up baby! i love it! how the heck can you not save the date?

she had two pair of shoes, two wedding gowns, two sets of photographers (mangored and rene gaviola) and one lucky groom. =) it was another day in the office for my team as we tried not to be distracted while shooting a couple of high profile guests during the preparations. it was great seeing familiar faces in the crowd but the biggest stars of that night were the dashing groom and his sexy bride.

march has been a very busy month. gen turned twenty-seven, ptv turned one, w@w turned ten (one hell of a party.) with all the celebrations, editing jobs and get-togethers, blogging has never been more difficult.

tagaytay is supposed to be the nearest summer getaway spot, a cool place to stay away from the scorching heat of metro manila. not anymore it’s not! it was so hot at calaruega that both my shooters and myself ended up with headache on our way to sonya’s garden. it was a special day nonetheless for bobby and dianne.

during a wedding shoot, i work with a couple of shooters, an assistant for the lights/sound and another for the sde. including myself, of course, it is a five-man team. the most crucial of ‘em all is my assistant editor who does the transferring of the clips and taking care of the onsite video while i shoot. gen does this perfectly. unfortunately for me, she decided that it’d be a lot more fun watching the eraserheads concert at moa. she was actually so wasted that night that she was unable to join us the next day…haha! nah, she was at the wedding expo during the weekend and i was totally left with one (wo)man short of my wedding crew.

nitz and bek gave me three songs to choose from for their video. the first one, i used twice before, the other was just 2 minutes short (it’s good but if i’d use it, i’ll feel like i’m ripping them off), and the third is just oh so perfect for the fun-loving couple. guess which song i chose. oh, and i was informed that the male veil sponsor was gen’s eco teacher back in her st. paul days. now, she’s totally bummed she missed this wedding. check out the video.

the following video is shot entirely in high definition. well…since we are getting a lot of people signing up our hd package as of late, i needed to know how it feels like doing it on the day. i wish i could say that everything went smooth as expected but it didn’t…and since i wanted to come up with a lot of stuff, try to put in a lot of things, well, i panicked a little (or maybe a lot) and i thought to myself “how the hell am i gonna do this without an assistant outside the country?” i’ll find out the answer to that later. for now, i’ll just be thankful that i got through with this video.

chad and knelle is one of the nicest couple that we had. unlike the traditional couple’s entrance at the reception, the night began with the dance. they got the prom night theme goin’ on and since it was the closest thing to me being in a prom (i’ve never been in an actual prom before and i always wanted to be in one), i cherished the moment. turn on vimeo’s hd for optimum viewing experience! =)

for the third time in the same number of years i found myself working on valentine’s day. =) i remember getting hold of the onsite song less than two hours before the ceremony and editing the entire sde at home. =)
