for a moment let’s forget about the onsite video. oh it is special, it’s just that i don’t feel like talking about sde’s today. i want to tell the story of how can an avp be so effective. a video so nice they had to play it twice!!! people needed to see it again!

follow these steps on how to make a roof raising avp:
1. choose a song. (something donna cruz sang will definitely be a huge hit! trust me, everybody’s gonna be singing on their way home!)
2. get yourself a choreographer.
3. get yourself back-up dancers with colorful outfits.
4. learn how to break dance.
5. everybody dig love triangles.

…and bam! you got yourself a hit!

the couple’s onsite video, it wouldn’t disappoint either. check it out. =)

fact: siberian huskies rarely bark. instead, they howl like a wolf.

emoy and shirley had entered the reception venue with a golden retriever and a siberian husky. i’m pretty sure their other six doggies were bummed out when they heard that they weren’t invited. =) yep…that many! and yes, i did wonder how much money they spent every month for pet maintenance. =)

i am not sure if it was ever done before but i had my camera on glidecam for entire time i was shooting this video…just for the hell of it. and man did i get some sore muscles afterwards!

monday morning traffic is too much to bear, lucky for me i was asleep the whole trip. i was busy the night before (maybe 2-3 a.m. in the morning) putting on the finishing touches to the couples 3d montage. =)

i got the colds a couple of days before dan & jen’s wedding and tagaytay’s weather wasn’t helping. =) this is not the kind of job where you can just give a medical certificate, fake or not, to be excused. in the end, it was another day well spent and another cool onsite video for the blog. enjoy! =)

it’s been a long time, more than a year to be exact, since i posted a 3d montage. no surprises there though as the special photo slideshow is only our second video of it’s kind.

speaking of rare happenings, this post includes a second video…the onsite video. =) fr. horan hall was jampacked on a wednesday evening…just shows how great friends the adorable couple have. =)

nico & corinne – love story

Posted By bim in avp, love story

november 22, 2008 – fernbrook
bellevue hotel

here’s a story…the couple had a very interesting concept for a bachelor’s game…ten locks, ten keys, ten bachelors, ten bachelorettes, only one key can open a specific lock…see the picture?…i was behind one of my shooters giving some instructions when all of a sudden, i heard the emcee calling my name. they have gotta be kidding me, i thought as i saw corinne laughing and nico looking like he’s got nothing to do with it. =) yep, i did play the game and nope, i did not get to kiss a bridesmaid…as i was returning to my seat and gen (who was there all the time) was staring at me like i forced myself into it, i learned that the winners not only got the chance to kiss, both also won lomo cams. i couldn’t react until gen told me that i should’ve won. haha. =)

the following video is nico and corinne’s love story avp (a little over a year ago, we also did celine’s, nico’s sister, love story avp.) it’s about how their story began with a little twist. kinda like what didn’t happen. i do hope you’ll enjoy this because i have seen it more than a hundred times and i still do. =)

august 8, 2008 – the manila cathedral
the manila hotel

i find it really interesting that each one of the supplier wedding blogs i frequently visit is totally on a standstill. very interesting indeed, a day after the most awaited date in the wedding industry history, nobody is ready to tell their story? hmmmm….

here’s mine – a love story. lomo colors, the private beach, a little red crab, the umbrella, kix posing like a chic (spot that if you can!), student-teacher relationship, mostly interesting stuff! the shoot took place somewhere in batangas it was another one of those long drives, but i didn’t mind (i was sleeping). though our team didn’t get the chance to take a dip, it didn’t stop us from having absolute fun.

the one thing i secretly hate about doing avps (i’m spilling the beans) is that the couple get to watch the video before the actual day. they get the chance to play the video over and over again and come the big day, my video, for them, is no longer unpredictable…and their reaction has long been said to me.

what’s great news is that the two people reading my blog haven’t seen the video yet…and in their eyes, it’s gonna be fresh, unpredictable and fun to watch…enjoy the video!

well, well, just when you thought i’m done and out for an eight-eight-eight story, i have another story later. man oh man, the blog entries are getting longer and longer…i mean, what’s not to write? there’s a brand new story every time!!! =)

i had two hours raw video to be squeezed into a 4-minute mtv. it wasn’t as easy as i thought it would be…or maybe i tried too hard. =) nonetheless, i made something quite extraordinary. watch closely and see if your eyes are as fast as your ears in this one of a kind avp. i’d be the happiest if i get you to watch it again. =)

may 24, 2008 – gazebo royale
imperial palace, quezon city

we arrived at the hotel at about ten a.m. thinking the ceremony will be held at three p.m in the afternoon. not surprisingly, kix and his team were there a couple of minutes earlier. no problem, really, except that it was a five p.m christian wedding. man, that was the longest preparation shoot we did.

i heard the emcee said “wow!” but i thought she was just being nice…the reaction from the couple after watching their onsite video though, totally made my day.
