darwin’s version of kahit maputi na ang buhok ko during the reception, although he sounded like a teenage kid going through the harsh part of adolescence (but exceptionally good nonetheless), made her surprised bride cry. he was one hell of a singer, i give him that, but i’m glad he was done after one! =)

the bar was open just a little while after the reception started. it totally helped making the party crazier than it already was. what’s better is what transpired before that big night captured in motion picture. enjoy!

hula hoop, black cats, wings, classical elements, tribal tatoos…all in one helluva night. my wedding fillmmaking career will end some twenty years from now but i doubt that i’d ever witness another wedding like this.

i’m often asked how long does it take for me to edit. truth be told, i’ll maximize every second available. no scripts, no formulas, everything on the spot edit. as the day goes by, the story of the video continuous to evolve into something almost one hundred percent different from the first cut when my team leaves the prep venue.

another frequently asked question is when is the best time to play the onsite video. well, whenever possible as long as one: the video is ready to be played, two: there are still people present to watch it and three: people are done asking you random stuff so they won’t do it while the video is being played!

beautiful vows make beautiful weddings…and wedding videos. we are very fortunate to listen and witness amazing vow exchanges for the past couple of months. benedict and karen’s is on our top five.

the bride’s dress tells a story of it’s own, and man was she gorgeous. benedict, who sang her entrance song was unable to hold back his tears when she saw her. i’ll stop here before i give it all away. =)

one last thing. i am not a morning person and on this particular morning, our call time was just an hour after my body goes to sleep. this was the first of three morning weddings we have this month. i’m just saying. =)

my main man, playboy patrick, took the plunge and did what few men dare to do: think on the spot during their exchange of vows. =) and yes, he stuttered a little, but he ended up with something beautiful. =)

queen’s event management team is one of the best in the business. each member is efficient, effective and totally entertaining and it’s always a breeze working with them. =) it’s not really coincidence when i come up with an extra special wedding video whenever her team’s around. i got her as my wedding coordinator by the way.

once again, i underestimated the unpredictability of a wedding ceremony and once again my video turned out to be a hundred percent different than i saw it’d be. for the record, i still don’t understand what bryan said on the last sentence of his vows when his voice cracked but tina did and that’s all that matters.

song’s title’s “perfect.” indeed.

lem’s blink 182 sde song reminded me of myself a year ago. man i missed that, that hard hitting, jaw dropping, fast paced and crazy good rock ‘n roll baby! all in rich high definition colors! i have to mention though, that the fernandez sisters are all gorgeous by default, only the groom’s good looks were enahced a little bit by the hd format! (i’m kidding dude!)

what happened during the last four days of our lives was nothing short of legendary. from a beautiful wedding to broken bones. from fruitshakes to pizzas to isaws by the beach. rain or shine, it was, is and will always be my paradise.

a high-def video capable slr is my weapon of choice any day of the week. =) during impromptu vacations such as this, i’ll get myself a couple of snapshots because, well, that’s what all normal bakasyonistas do…

…but i’m no ordinary bakasyonista. i’ll document this epic moment with a video camera and make four short films about it!

a korean dude came to me while i was enjoying my board and told me that he dreamt of skimboarding all his life. what the heck, i taught him the very first trick i’ve learned…fall down hard!

when you visit boracay, and i know you will sooner than later, you have to try the zorb! a little bit overpriced in my opinion but still one hell of a ride!

it was a wedding filled with traditions and attended by the closest family and friends from all over the world. by then, it was the fifth straight day outside the office but i was overwhelmed by the extraordinary hospitality of the couple and their family. i had the best lunch ever topped with the best dinner ever.

the reception was filled with surprises, impromptu but very beautiful and heartwarming speeches and dozens of filipino, spanish and chinese song performers. capped by lanterns glowing in the pitch black sky, it was the most amazing december night so far!
